(Gr)Attitude; Day Ten
9:49:00 PM
Today I am thankful for the gospel. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, more commonly referred to as Mormons. I love being a member of this church and I look forward to church each Sunday.
Today however, was Stake Conference. It was wonderful going to church an hour later than usual, but I had a very hard time focusing on the things being taught. It might have been due to the fact that there was a significant increase in babies that I could play with and watch.
Did I mention, I'm grateful for babies? I love their sweet little hands and their confused expressions, their bald little heads and their cute little clothes. I love it all!
My favorite quote from Stake Conference was this:
"If we do not make missionary work our first priority, down the line, what we did make our first priority will not matter."
Now that I actually have a brother-in-law (who I know well) out serving a mission, I've been soaking everything up about missions! It's funny how he left and that created a huge domino effect - I am also grateful for that. I don't think I've ever been so diligent in remembering the missionaries.
I now even know who the two sister missionaries are in our Stake!
I'm grateful for our wonderful ward, church building, and that the Temple literally shares a parking lot with it. I am grateful that my husband made sure I paid attention. I am extremely grateful that my good friend Crystal and her husband, Caleb, sat by us. Church would definitely not be the same if I didn't have some sort of support group.
