(Gr)Attitude; Day Fifteen
12:49:00 AM
Last day of the week! I have never been more grateful for a Friday! I feel like I am always sleep-deprived, hungry, and therefore mean. Thankfully Mitch had the day off today so I got to spend the morning with him. He made me breakfast and snuggled me while I slept. He is literally the kindest human being alive. I am so thankful that he can read me like a book - he knows exactly when I need some extra food, sleep, and love. Happy Wife, Happy Life, am I right?
My very good friend, Crystal, had surgery and there were some complications. What was supposed to be a simple thyroid removal ended up with the Doc accidentally cutting Crystal's vocal cord nerves. My dear friend can still speak, but it's a batman-sounding whisper. She will more than likely never be able to sing again, however the Doctor told her that her voice would get stronger throughout the duration of a year. I was able to go visit her this morning and spend the afternoon just talking with her.
I feel so bad when things like this happen and I'm normally very socially intelligent. However when something abnormal happens, I tend to ask a TON of questions just because I'm a little scientist. Poor Crystal had to not only put up with all of my questions but answer them despite her aching throat. I am grateful I wasn't smacked over the head.
I am also so incredibly thankful for the wonderful example of not being bitter. Despite all that has happened, Crystal somehow still manages to be happy and positive. I seriously look up to that. If it would have happened to me, I would have not stopped crying for months. She is amazing and that is all that has to be said. Keep her in your thoughts!
I am extremely thankful that I passed my 2nd training test with flying colors! I'm going to start making phone calls on Monday! I'm nervous but excited to know that I definitely, for sure, have the job!
Last but not least, I am grateful for yummy smells!
I bought this delicious wax warmer for only $12 and some yummy wax scents for $3! Let's just say my house is smelling like Spiced Pear something fierce. I'm going to start looking for a Sugar Cookie or some other holiday scent for Christmas.
I get so giddy with things like this. I unwrapped this bad boy, had it plugged in and running in just 2 minutes of being home. Seriously delightful.
