Zane is 9 months old and doing a new trick a day it feels like. I went to go visit my mom and sisters in Montana for a week and in that trip alone Zane started pulling himself up onto things, finally crawling on his knees, and walking alongside things at a snail's pace. It has been amazing to see him develop so quickly. Mitch was in awe of how much Zane could do when we returned home. We both muttered, "It isn't fair..." Mitch because he missed it all and me because I don't want my sweet little munchkin growing up too fast.
At 9 months, Zane is eating mostly solids, crawling everywhere, finding all of the things he shouldn't and sticking those things into his mouth, and he is becoming quite the little flirt to everyone except me. Zane loves his dad and says "dada" constantly. He is still growling, but now when he 'talks' he makes a lot more sounds. He is so close to saying "hi" it is driving us crazy with anticipation!
Some fun things that have happened this month are: we moved to Washington for the summer (hence all of the green in the pictures); Zane got to enjoy his 5th 14 hour car ride, which he enjoyed only because he got to talk to his dad on a walkie-talkie for the drive; he also thought it was awesome that he could cry and get a ritz cracker so that was abused haha! Zane also got to enjoy two entire weeks with his cousins and thought that they were just the best thing ever.
Zane loves animals, but mostly dogs. He finds old people quite interesting and will stare at them constantly. He is already developing a love for cars and steering wheels - especially if they happen to be tractors. Z loves to swing, take naps, and play with big beach balls. Baths are still number one though and he makes sure to get extremely dirty so he can enjoy one every day. He is a typical boy through and through.
We sure love this crazy kid!
