(Gr)Attitude; Day One

7:22:00 PM

I decided that I wanted to start a Gratitude Challenge for the month of November because I simply don't hear the words "Thank You" come out of my mouth often enough. I have been especially keen on wanting things, getting what I want, and then using what I want - all without those two simple words escaping from my lips.

I've completely skipped over Thanksgiving in my college woes and selfish business of every day life. I had it in my head that I just needed to "make it through Halloween and then it would be Christmas" and I could get back into a schedule for school, I could decorate my home, and I could spend a lot more nights watching movies and drinking hot cocoa.

Thankfully (or sadly?) Facebook posts reminded me of the season to be grateful and to express that appreciation

Therefore, I present Day One!

I am grateful for Temples. I am so grateful for the opportunity my sweetheart and I had to enter the Temple in Logan, Utah today to see Mercer and Sara wed.

I am especially grateful for the touching reminders of my wedding day and the resonating feeling I got holding my sweethearts hand and knowing that we had made the same covenants.

I am completely in debt to my husband who not only endured waking me up at 4:30 this morning but also helped lug me into the car, tucked me in the passenger seat with my warmest blanket, and brought me a water bottle for when I woke up fully.

I am grateful.
