(Gr)Attitude; Day Sixteen

11:54:00 PM

Mitch and I woke up early today to SNOW! It snowed you guys! Like three inches of beautiful white flakes! We had to go to our ward Breakfast or else I would have played in it! Our ward was having a breakfast because we got 100% Home Teaching and Visiting Teaching, which frankly shocked me because I haven't been visited, let alone contacted, since January.
The breakfast was really good, but there was no ketchup! This is Idaho! Who doesn't bring ketchup to breakfast?! Despite the fact that I couldn't smother my hashbrowns with delicious high fructose cornsyrup disguised as ketchup, the breakfast was still absolutely yummy. It helped that I wasn't the one making it too.

I've really started to like our ward now that I have friends in it. Before it felt like I was sitting in a cubicle and no one else could enter another persons' cubicle. That, and all of the newly wed couples were so engrossed in themselves they didn't want any visitors.
But I am happy and grateful to say that Mitch and I sat down with a few families and were able to have a great time for the hour that we were there.

Since it had snowed, we hurried back to our complex and Mitch shoveled the walkways while I grabbed our snow gear and a change of clothes. We left for Idaho Falls with the high hopes of getting to spend time with Jace, my new-found brother-in-law, and go snowmobiling on the farm. It hadn't snowed too much, but there was enough for the sleds to at least move.
Jace had shot his antelope and was busily cutting up the meat so Mitch and I resorted to snowmobiling instead. It was a ton of fun! I have only ever been once before - Mitch and I went for his birthday with a couple friend of ours. Mitch and Jared ended up going on just a "man's ride" which lasted over 7 hours so Kate and I got to sit in the cabin and listen to this old lady talk about her 'magic healing hands' and 'baby chiropractic methods'. By the time the boys got back, it was too dark for us to go out. Yeah. It was awesome. Not. I am not grateful for that, but I am grateful he got to enjoy his birthday... kind of.

I've never owned winter gear, so this
is my best effort ha (:
But not today! Today I got to ride around on the farm for hours! It was a blast, and I can see now why Mitch had been gone for 7 hours. I am grateful that we got to spend time together having fun. It's always an absolute blast when Mitch takes me to do things like this.

Afterward, Mitch took me and his sisters shopping. I needed a new pair of slacks for my job because skirts weren't always going to cut it, especially now that it started to snow.

The Mall had already started decorating for Christmas! It made me instantly cheery and ready for the holiday season! I love Thanksgiving, don't get me wrong, but I also love seeing Henry's face light up when we say "Santa's coming!" and the look he gets when he opens his presents. Thanksgiving is okay, but nothing beats that.

Speaking of Henry, we visited my family for a short while and Henry had a surprise waiting for us:

I am not sure why he looks like he is in pain. He put on the outfit himself! He told us that he was "Wonder Spider Man". I'm grateful that this cute little guy can make me laugh as hard as he does. He is too cute and hilarious.

Lastly, I am grateful for this guy. He is my rock and my sweetheart. Somehow he makes everything better and my life wouldn't be the same without him.
He takes care of me and makes sure that I have the best things.
I am so grateful that he is my eternal companion because I am definitely okay with laughing, smiling, and hugging any fears away with this guy.
I love you, Mitchell.
