Overview of June

My wonderful hubby and I enjoyed a meal over at Neilsen's Frozen Custard Diner. I would seriously eat here every day if I could. I would willingly gain 10 pounds if it was because I ate those burgers every single meal for a week.
I played lacrosse in the hotest weather imaginable. So hot that my mouth guard actually melted. I had to pry it from the case with a butter knife. I'm #20, by the way. I love my team and my captains! They are exactly the break that I need from those things called "life" and "responsibilities".
Woke up to find that my husband loves SPAM more than he loves me. Sadly, this was not posed. On his mission, Mitch would eat SPAM for just about every meal. Unfortunately, even though he is back in the real world, this "delicacy" has not gone away yet.
I painted our old, ugly, miss-matched, D.I bedroom furniture. This furniture smelled like Smoker's Lung and Orphan Tears. It's not a fragrance I would recommend, especially when you have to store your clothes in those bad boys.
Please don't mind the 80's carpet in our apartment (:
Made delicious (and messy) chicken wraps.
(Half a packet of dry ranch dressing mix, sour cream, chicken, and picante sauce, all wrapped in a delicious warmed tortilla).
Went to Cade's Mission Farewell (Cade is in the center with glasses). He is serving State-side. I think that everyone in the Holt family has served in the States, but don't count me on it.
And met all of these animals!
1. The grumpiest, fluffiest cat you will ever meet named Oscar
2. A puppy (wire-haired pointing Griffin) that is for sale
3. A lizard named Sir Thaddeus
4. A peacock on a peacock farm. I was so close to him, I could have plucked a feather from his tail!
And those were the adventurous parts of my June! I loved watching another month come and go. My husband especially loved the fact that I was determined for a week or so in there to cook and clean! Let's hope July is just as great (and for Mitch's sanity, let's hope I am able to keep up that whole "cooking and cleaning" thing that people do)!
