LAX CHAMPIONSHIPS!!

I absolutely LOVED our championship game! Mostly because I got to see it ALL happen! I played Goalie for the first time in my life! AND I played goalie for the entire game! 

We played the undefeated team and only lost by 1 point! During my goalkeeping, I was able to stop and watch the strategy of the opposing team. I quickly realized (though sadly) that the undefeated team was only undefeated because they had one person really carry the team. The same person that made every goal was the same person that always picked up the ball. She was the same person that every teammate threw to. And sadly, she was the only person on their team that probably had the ball for more than a few seconds. It is so sad to see a team win like this. I feel really awful saying this, but... how many girls on that team can actually feel proud of winning when all they did was throw a ball to the same person time after time? None of them got to play to the extent of running the ball around, cradling for more than a few seconds, or even trying to take a shot. It was literally ONE GIRL. 

That aside, I am still very proud of my LAX team! We played better than we have ever played before! I love these girls and I am so sad the season is already over /: So many of my teammates really stepped it up this game! I am so proud of all of the girls who got to play. I don't think there was a single girl on my team who didn't get to catch the ball, run with the ball, pass the ball, etc. I think that we are winners in the sense that every one of my ladies has totally improved!!! 

We lost 8 - 9, but I did really well for my first time being a goalie! Out of the 9 goals they DID make, here is a count of the ones I blocked! I mostly have these down because of the bruises I have now acquired (;
