Fourth of July
3:04:00 PM
This fourth, a family in Washington welcomed us into their lake house with open arms. We've never really met them before and yet they were so friendly and kind to us it made that small part of our homesick hearts a little less "naggy,"
Mitch and I were able to go on a romantic little paddle boat ride with Zane, where my sweetheart jokingly threatened to throw me in the water several times. If I had been wearing a swimsuit (instead of my spirit animal jumpsuit) I would have definitely spent more time in the water than in the boat. Mitch picked me a lily pad bouquet while we paddled around and Zane just sat in his little suffocating life jacket watching each water lily pass us by. It was beautiful and I felt like it could have been out of The Notebook. I then promptly fell through a rotten board on the dock in front of all the sweet strangers and friends that welcomed us to their Fourth of July party.
After a delicious barbecue dinner, the boys lit fireworks, our pal Brandon almost blew his butt off, and then we all roasted smores. It was quite the evening. And to think a little rain made us think that it wouldn't be all that fun.
Hope you had a safe Fourth!
Doctrine and Covenants 101:

77 According to the laws and constitution of the people, which I have suffered to be established, and should be maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles;
