Valentines Day
6:07:00 PM
Mitch and I had our SECOND Valentines Day together this year! And he had to spend the whole day taking tests on campus. Boo.
While he was gone, I made sure to get the house cleaned as if I were expecting company that just so happened to be Nazis. I don't think our kitchen was ever that sparkling.
I also made a delicious dinner of pink spaghetti! It was really simple, just put food coloring in the boiling water (;
I also arranged it on our plates in heart shapes! Might I mention that shaping sticky noodles into heart shapes is actually hard? Like, Olympic Event hard. I couldn't stand the texture of the noodles on my hands yet I could eat it? I basically sent myself into a philosophical spiral about noodles and food texture.
I also have been on a kick of making specialty drinks since my birthday, so I made us Cherry Razzler's! Marachino Cherries, 7 Up, and Lemon. I had originally stuck the 7 Up in the freezer to make it really chilly and flaky, but it all melted by the time Mitch got home from campus at 10:30 pm. Either way, it was absolutely delicious!
Mitch and I haven't done Valentines Day gifts for the 2 years we've been married, but he did buy me roses and I haven't been able to stop myself from smelling them constantly. I absolutely love flowers - I really like to press and dry them as well so Mitch has learned to get me them for major events (:
I sure do love that guy!
