Overview of August

1:41:00 PM

This August, my sweetheart and I:

...attended my beautiful sister's wedding. She was a stunning bride and it was a great party!

...invited our younger sisters over for a sleepover, Wendy's, and a dollar movie! The new Superman was awesome. Really long, but absolutely awesome.

...went Crawdad fishing at midnight! There were 6 crawdads caught! I have never been before (part of that whole "living in a city" where "being a redneck" is frowned upon). It was super interesting. We just fished off of the docks, but rather than fish with those little fly things we put uncooked bacon on the hook. I'm not even sure if crawdads like/eat bacon, but they were sure clamping their claws down on it!

...purchased the wedding bands for my ring! I am absolutely in love with my ring all over again. It's the sort of love where I'm overly protective of it though, which isn't too great when you are afraid of getting it dirty and you just so happen to live a redneck lifestyle. It spent most, if not all of it's first days in the little cleaner box that they gave us. I was so afraid of scratching it somehow that I was too afraid to take it out of the box! I did however manage to freak out the UPS guy that delivered it by not only jumping up and down as he approached our open door, but I then cackled madly and started to cry when he said that I had to be 21 or older to sign the package. Mitch was at home, so we were able to get the package, but I still wildly cackled this insane witch laughter as the UPS guy drove away; I was that excited.

...played Yahtzee with this rascal and Mitch totally won! He claims he has never played Yahtzee before - sure, sure.

...won big money playing "31" (a card game that is my new obsession)!

...took this sweetie on a four wheeler ride - he would not put his hands down the entire time! He would just sit there and yell a constant, high-pitched note of excitement and whenever we would go over a bump, that note would turn into gigantic laughter until he ran out of breath.

...and went camping with the Dawsons; Mary, Derek, and their adorable little baby Levi! Camping included peeing in the woods, riding motorbikes, roasting marshmallows, and trying to cut an entire watermelon in a tiny Tupperware size bowl! We stayed up super late just talking and in retrospect, I'm upset we didn't hang out with the Dawsons sooner!

Overall, I would consider this August a success!!!
