A.T. and Sushi

11:29:00 AM

For the past week, my sweet husband has been at his annual training for the military. It has been the longest week of my life! I've pretty much cleaned as much as I can in the house, reorganized things if not once, but a trillion times, and I even got stung by a bee and induced myself into a Benedryl coma. Thankfully after all of that, my sister's bridal shower gave me a good excuse to go to Boise and steal my husband away for a few hours.

I was able to pick him up from his base at Gowen Field and see him for 5 whole hours! He hadn't been able to shower for 5 days, so our first stop was finding him a shower while I read a book and played my Ipad. He has been working in 100+ temperatures and so the swimming pool at the hotel was our next stop. The pool was incredibly dirty but we sucked it up anyway.

After swimming, Mitch and I went with my mother to one of our old friends' wedding reception. Poor Mitch got to spend his 5 hours at a reception with about 100 people he didn't know. I knew a ton of people there and he probably spent the first hour of the reception shaking hands and trying to introduce himself.
Our old home ward was pretty much the attending guests, and many of them told me, "Man! Marriage looks good on you!"

After the reception, my mother took Mitch and I to grab some taco bell so that Mitch could have a warm meal before going back on base and eating M.R.I's for 2 weeks. Sadly, Mitch had to be back on base before midnight and so I had to say goodbye to him after essentially only spending time with him at a reception. I miss that guy /:

My sister's Bridal Shower was the following day and was absolutely so much fun! She received a great starting kitchen set and we all learned that my dear, retired grandma is scandalous! I am still in shock from that, but I can't help but giggle every time I think of her comments during the shower!

After the Bridal Shower, my family went to our favorite sushi joint. If you live in the Boise, Idaho area, go to Kyoto's sushi off of Fairview! It will be the best decision of your life!

Literally the coolest thing ever and these were only two of the tricks they did! It was like going to a performance. Seriously, go eat there!

I loved spending the weekend with my extended family, especially because I haven't seen them really since my family moved to Idaho Falls 3 years ago. None of them came to my wedding, so they haven't met Mitch either and it was exciting to see them all and make plans for them to one day meet my sweetheart!

Oh, and one last thing! Happy 8 Months, Mitchell!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
