Zane's Second Birthday Party

Because we couldn't celebrate Zane's birthday with the whole family on his special day, we decided to have a little family birthday party with the whole gang. Zane loved all of the attention, especially his special treat all over again.

Zane loves the song "Happy Birthday" and he sang it to himself all day. I also made a balloon wall for him and he was IN LOVE! I wish I was as easily excited as this guy. For his birthday, Zane received a trampoline from his grandma and that guy already knows how to work it. He has been bouncing like crazy every waking moment. He's already worked off the cupcake and is now working his way to losing half of his body weight. 

Zane also got some legos, toy animals, and books for his birthday. I'm trying to find the balance between spoiling him with things he doesn't need, but also giving him presents that engage his creativity and problem solving skills. Next year, I'm hoping to do an "experience" birthday only, where Zane receives presents that are "go and do", like zoo passes, tickets to the aquarium, stuff that takes longer planning than a few weeks before his birthday ;)
