Mitch's Birthday Celebration!

8:41:00 PM

My sweet man had his birthday this month. He is the whopping 2-4! We finally celebrated his birthday with my family this weekend and regretfully, I forgot my nice, new camera!

My sweetheart and I celebrated his birthday early because I frankly cannot keep a secret for the life of me. I just get too excited and then blurt out what I want to get him or what I'm thinking of getting him. It usually ends in his favor though because he gets all of his goodies and presents weeks earlier than his birthday. There is also none of that awkward "This wasn't what I wanted" exchange either.
The short and short of it is that my husband will have great birthdays forever.

Please only watch if you are prepared for your ears to bleed. My family was not at all blessed with good singing voices. We've learned to accept each other and our croaky-ness, but if you enjoy finely tuned music, a beautiful chorus of angels, and the perfect orchestration of a song, please avert your attention.

Mitchell received some shopping money from his parents for clothes. He happens to be wearing his new digs in this picture (the shirt and the pants) and even chose them out himself!
Mitchell also received a new propane grill for when we go camping, and two camp chairs! We are so excited to go camping this summer and use our new toys!

His cake. Albertsons really doesn't have that many options for a grown man's birthday...

Bonus pictures!

The hubby had a great time making fun of the way I drive (left picture) and then spread the love around by showing me how cool he was when he used to drive his mustang.

The hubby got a gun for his birthday but I've already mentioned it in this post. He loves his new gun and is especially looking forward to hunting Easter Eggs this year.

I made my husband pose for this beautiful "America!!!" shot because I thought it was so hilarious. I was told to never show it to a soul. Better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission, right? In case you were wondering, the objects hanging on the wall are an American flag he received for his military service and the pelt (skin, feathers????) of a bird he shot. 'Murica.

I absolutely adore my sweet husband and I am looking forward to this next year of happiness! Let's see if I can't get on the surprise birthday bandwagon at some point.
