Hardy-Har-Harvest

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday! I love the smells, the pumpkins, the funky decorations, and the lack of expectations (Other than carving pumpkins. You better frickin' carve pumpkins)!
I think the only thing that would make me love Halloween more is if it didn't start snowing as you were trick or treating - and it would admittedly be nice if I didn't almost wet my pants at some of the scarier movies. But still! it is the best holiday!

To celebrate the wonderful harvest season, Mitch and I ran around on his families farm and almost got sprayed by a skunk - a lot funnier than it sounds. We climbed all over hay stacks, played on old farm equipment, and even explored some of the nooks and crannies of the farm (where we found said skunk). I love all of the colors of fall, so I made Mitch take a thousand and one pictures, which I have uploaded for your enjoyment.

I climbed (with some help... a lot of help) up a haystack. It was actually very scary to be on top! There were giant holes/gaps in between bales that I was certain I would fall into. Thankfully I did not need to be fished out of a crevice and was able to enjoy the day.

My husband showed me all of the old equipment that was once used on their family farm - including a horse drawn rake!

On a potato conveyor belt.

Trying to remember how to drive the bale wagon.

My husband inspected each piece of equipment and told me all about what they did, how much they probably were, and what time period his family more than likely used them.

The hilarious logo to the bale wagon. It showed a crazy muscular man staking hay like a lunatic!

Not only did we explore the beautiful farm land, but we also spent some time with my family. Mitch took the opportunity to draw a diagram of a Mule Deer and Shotgun Shells. I was only able to take a picture of the Mule Deer and hang it up on the fridge.

I raked up leaves and performed surgery on Ghost Dad, a leaf bag in the shape of a man-ghost.

We also got together with a small group of friends and carved pumpkins! Like I may have mentioned before, I absolutely love carving pumpkins and had begged my husband to carve them all weekend. Thankfully we have a group of friends that enjoy carving pumpkins too.

I tried to carve my pumpkin into an astronaut dinosaur, but it sadly did not go over all that well.

The completed pumpkins!

Caleb's creepy pumpkin!

Crystal's and Tiffany's pumpkins!

My pumpkin fail-

Mitch's Pumpkin! Of course it is another Mule Deer!

My husbands sweet cut he got from hunting (I can only get him to take candid shots when he's got a war wound)!

I absolutely love Fall! Hopefully Rexburg stays in the season for more than a few weeks. I could really use a break from all of the snowing! But I do love Sweater/Boot season!

Happy Halloween!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
