Family Nativity
6:37:00 PM
Each year, my mother-in-law and several of her closest friends bring their families together and celebrate the Savior's birth by putting on a Nativity with all of the kiddos. It has been one of my favorite Christmas traditions that I adopted in this marriage. I love getting to see all of the kids play their role and hear the beautiful hymns we sing, all to remember the Savior.
This year, Zane was baby Jesus. While that might sound sweet and exciting, it was very distracting. Our baby Jesus barked like a dog, tried to attack the shepherds with their own staffs, and begged for food from the audience. I've conveniently only included the pictures where he looks like a perfectly well-behaved baby Jesus.
I am so grateful for this time of year, for the humble birth of my Savior, and for the knowledge that because of his perfect life, we can return to our Father in Heaven again, alongside our families. I am so grateful for this comforting knowledge. I hope that you can feel the love of your fellow men and the love of your Savior this Christmas season and always.
Merry Christmas!
Our awesome cast, including shepherds, donkeys, camels, wise men with gifts (Indiana Jones box-set), Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, and the angel.
