Family Vacation Part Two: Trolls and Space Needles

3:14:00 PM

Our vacation continued when we went and saw the Fremont Troll. Someone took the liberty of carving a troll under a bridge in Fremont and it is huge and ugly! It reminded me of the B.F.G. by Roald Dahl, which was one of my favorite books growing up.

If you're running out of time on your vacation, the troll is definitely something that you can skip. We had to drive around for 20ish minutes to find parking to spend maybe 10 minutes at the actual troll. In fact, my favorite view of the entire thing was looking down the bridge and seeing the architecture and perceived strength that every beam gave the bridge.

After the troll, we took a quick drive to a park that overlooks the Sound and central Seattle. It was nice to have a view of the city from without it. I loved that you could see the natural beauty of the sound paired with the structural integrity of the city. I've come to love skyscrapers on an ocean skyline. I swear I could sit at this park regularly and soak up the view. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the park, but it is named after a woman, if that helps!

By and by, I am growing to love this city more and more, even if I am not a pot smokin' hippie!

Thanks for stopping by!
