Get'Cha Camp On

3:17:00 PM

This past weekend we went camping with the Kilpatricks and it was so much fun! We have always loved camping, but there is just something about going and camping with another family that makes late night campfire chats and early mornings so much better. Brandon and Ali are also extremely adventurous and they have shown us some amazing sights and stops here in Washington, and many of them have catered perfectly to our adrenaline junkie needs. There is nothing like staying up until 1:00 in the morning talking about what we would do if a natural disaster were to strike right then and there haha!

I also love how Zane is growing up so close to the girls. It has been so much fun to watch them interact and play with each other, kicks, hair pulls, screams, and all. Zane and Sadie are perfectly matched so we're hoping for a future wedding (;

While we were camping, we went and played on a ropes course in the camp ground. Mitch and Brandon climbed up a wall while Ali and I balanced on beams and swung from ropes like Tarzan. We've also cemented our bond as roommates by having to lift each other up and push one another through a rope obstacle course.

We also spent some time down at the river, where Zane loved playing on the beach. Mitch and Brandon swam across the river and when Zane saw his dad start to leave, he tried crawling into the river. He realized it was frigid, and I realized what was even happening, when he was already about neck deep. He immediately turned around and started crawling back. It is scary how fast that happened, but looking back, it was so funny to see Zane's reaction.

Also, if you didn't know, you need a barrel swing. It's no longer a choice. It is a necessity.

Shout out to the Kilpatrick ladies for being my savior this summer and showing me all of the cool things to do when staying indoors just isn't cutting it.

Thanks for stopping by!
