6 Months

Zane is 6 months old! Pinch me! When did this happen? 

He has been growing up so much lately! He is teething like a mad man, but nothing has cut through yet. He also went through a phase where he would only say "dada." He would never say "mama" unless he was crying. Isn't that just lovely?

Zane also learned how to shake his head no, but so far it isn't in any context. He still loves baths more than ever. I think the best part about this age is that Zane is developing this little personality- he likes his own personal time and is developing into a night owl. He likes to sit up and will only lay down on his back if we are giving him constant attention now. He has found a love for his toys and enjoys switching them from hand to hand and testing his limits by throwing them. Zane has also gotten to enjoy 'human food,' as I call it, including avocados, mushy pears, Ritz crackers, homemade baby food, and those squeezy baby food pouches. He LOVES the squeezy pouches. I'm actually trying to use them to get him crawling. The little stinker will just lay there and growl at me and at the food but won't budge. 

Last but not least, Zane has finally figured out that cell phones are the toy of all toys. He has learned how to whine for toys and has started to cry when we take things away from him. Heaven forbid we show him the Ritz cracker package without actually giving him one. 

I can't wait to see what happens here in the following month! I'm hoping crawling is on our horizon so he can actually get his own dang toys that he throws (;
