Life in Review; Two Months of My Life I'll Never Get Back Edition

Henry trying Key Lime Pie for the first time. LOVE this kid.
The few weeks leading up to, and past, Thanksgiving have been so busy beyond belief for my sweetheart and I. Not only are we moving, but we are trying to finish up our last semester, get hired on for an internship, and hire/train a new set of managers. It would be safe to say that I have not slept well in about... a month.
The best part of this 2 month-ish hiatus from the world of freedom and happiness has been that Mitch and I have actually accomplished quite a bit! Mitch has been chosen out of 1300 applicants for an interview with Boeing Aerospace Engineers for an internship opportunity, so cross your fingers for that! I've been cleaning and slowly packing our house - in fact, I had our first box packed long before Halloween but that was promptly opened again and spilled out when Mitch realized I had packed away our copy of Microsoft Office.
Here are some pictures of our life the past two months - when we've even had time to take pictures!
Mitch and I attended this years Military Ball and we both received awards! Mitch received "Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year" while I received the "Molly Pitcher Award for Exceptional Support to the Military." Mitch had apparently known we were winning these awards for months, but never bothered to tell me! I was absolutely shocked and completely embarrassed when there was that glorious 10 second pause between them calling my name and me recognizing that they actually meant me - like really, really me.
Here is my award!
I finished my pottery project for the year. It is a ram's head that I had to do for a class. It is absolutely gorgeous in person... not to toot my own horn or anything... (;
I actually looked like a normal, well-functioning human-being for this years Thanksgiving with the Holt side of the family. I absolutely love these people and I am so grateful that have accepted me into their family so graciously! I love these moments (looking good helps too)!
Mitch bought his Christmas present on Black Friday. Again, I am absolutely horrible at surprises for this guy, but he already has 4 presents for me wrapped and ready to go for Christmas! He's sucha stinker! I hate the anticipation!
He is in LOVE with the Surface Pro 3. The first night he slept with it under his pillow "on accident".
Decorating the Christmas tree at my mom's house. Last year, we cut down a monster of a tree. This year, my mother and step-dad decided they wanted to go with the very short, very dusty fake tree that just doesn't cut it when it comes to real-tree-smells.
Found these little prints on my way to grab the mail. I've been meaning to ask my redneck of a husband what left them. Maybe this will be a good way to remind myself to do that!
Mitch got a "Zombie Slayer" silly-string gun for the white elephant gift exchange this year and we decided to have some target practice... on our home-made targets. When that wasn't enough, we decided to terrorize our neighbors by knocking on their door, hiding, and then blasting them with the silly string. I'm almost proud to say that we have the kind of friends who keep nerf guns handy and are willing to shoot back at us. Scratch that. I am extremely proud.
Mitch and I move in 12 days from the first home we have ever had. We've currently got... 5 boxes packed. Wish us luck as we finish the semester and move!
