Miss Ashlyn
9:40:00 PM
This cute girl was baptized yesterday! Ashlyn was so adorable and excited for her baptism. It was so wonderful to see her so excited. I teared up like crazy at this little girls decision. She's such a strong, independent little girl and I am so proud of her!
Ashlyn asked Mitchell if he would confirm her, and he did. It was very sweet to see the man I cherish so much doing this. It made me excited for when we have babies and he gets to do that for all of them (and this big guy is wanting like 8, so that will definitely happen. A lot.)!
Ashlyn also asked her brother, Jace, to actually baptize her. It was very sweet and she was so excited that her brothers got to be a part of her special day.
My cute girl! I love her to pieces! On this day, Ashlyn's favorite things to do are "camping, visiting grandparents, riding horses and four-wheelers, and playing games with family. She is responsible for taking care of the family's cat and she has regular chores to do. She brings enthusiasm, compassion, and sunshine to her family... Ashlyn loves to draw pictures and make cards and give gifts to others. She plays the piano and has even composed her own music which she will be playing at her recital next week. She is a kind friend." Her favorite thing about primary is "Learning about Heavenly Father" and her favorite scripture story is when "Nephi gets the scriptures and builds the boat." Her favorite primary song is "Nephi's Courage. She finds it interesting that Laman and Lemuel were afraid to do what Nephi did, and that Nephi was strong enough to build a whole boat."
Here are some other adorable things Ashlyn has done recently;
Don't tell her I stole her "diery" page! It was just too cute not to share!
I bawled like a baby at this bad boy. Ashlyn, I am so proud of you and the choices you are making! You continue to amaze me every day with your own courage and hard work! I wish that other people had as much courage and faith as you do, and you are only 8! I love you missy!
This is me on my own baptism day. This was my second baptism I've ever been to, almost 12 entire years apart! From left to right, Ana, Adella, me, John, Abbi.
