School; It was the Best of Times, It was the Worst of Times

School this semester has been great. It's strange to think that we are already almost into February. In fact, I can't hardly believe that it has gone by so fast. Mitch has been incredibly busy studying for his classes.
He has a good friend from our ward that he studies with, so we are often at the Kilpatrick's home doing dinner or playing Mario Cart until the guys get their work done. I never knew a butt-load of homework would enable us to meet some really good friends, but it has!

Recently, we've been really into playing Age of Empires || with them, which I have absolutely loved! That game reminds me of my old home in Meridian, our huge monitor that was more like a brick than a computer, and having my sisters and I sit around the computer watching each other play games.

In my science class, we've done some really cool lessons with circuits, electricity, and magnets. We've also had our fair share of coloring, making paper rockets, and even graphing jelly beans, but those were more or less designed for 5 year olds.

This is a motor I made in class using copper wire, paper clips, 2 D Cell batteries, and some magnets. I really enjoyed the aspect of making circuits like this. In fact, I feel like I actually have some sort of reference for what my husband is doing in his engineering classes when I complete things like this.
Please excuse the "Yeah Boi!" in the middle there. My table got really excited that ours worked! We were the first to complete the circuit haha! The table I sit with is also very competitive. We have nicknamed each person a different country, and every activity that can have the smallest bet, deal, or competition, we go head to head. I am Russia, comrade! And usually I lose, but I did win 50 jelly beans once!

Other than looking like complete dorks, Mitch and I have really been enjoying school. As always, we are loving life, loving each other, and really enjoying what we are doing. Sadly, being whipped by homework is a lot more satisfying than watching Netflix all day! But we'll see how I feel about that when my first test comes up this weekend!
