Losing Progress, but Still, Progress!

This summer, I lost 25 pounds (a few of which I have gained back). I didn't do Shakeology and I didn't diet. In fact, I was eating (a hefty) dessert every single night! I just went to the gym and lifted hard each day for an hour or two. I loved getting to go and work out. I absolutely started craving it and could feel myself getting sluggish if I didn't go lift on a certain day.
I've since been too busy to go to the gym, but I have still been trying to maintain my progress. And I've found another indicator of all my hard work: my Military Ball gown!
While these pictures might not show all of my progress, the tags do. The dress I wore last year was a size 14. In the picture below my face was still quite round and my arms were not toned. I had a lot of leftover baby weight and was struggling to feel comfortable in my dress all night. Finding a dress to begin with was a nightmare, too.
This year, I wore a size 8 dress that I found online and bought from a 16 year old who had worn it to her Junior Prom. I was able to wear the first thing I tried on and I looked phenomenal, if I do say so myself! My experience finding a dress this year and finding a dress last year was a complete night and day difference. Seeing myself fit into a size 8 dress has seriously just rekindled my desire to go out and lift again.
Looks like I'll be buying myself some new gym clothes next!
