Baby Shower

Baby Holt is getting so close to being here, it is crazy! Only 90 more days!!! Today I had my baby shower and it was an absolute blast! A very special thank-you to my sister, Ana, who sacrificed so much time, money, and energy into making my Harry Potter themed baby shower the best!
My Mother-in-Law, Linda, made this beautiful Snitch cake for the event. It was the most delicious cake I have ever eaten, and that is not just the pregnancy talking!
You can never go wrong with Cocoa Bean. Never.
Mitch's grandma, Sharon (left) and my grandma, Sherry, were next door neighbors for practically all of my childhood. It's one of those crazy coincidences that Mitch and I found out after we were already engaged and talking about going and visiting our grandma's and who had a cooler house. When I finally met Sharon, we found out that she knew grandma Sherry!
This is the face you get when you're told you've just been given a precious family heirloom that you never even knew existed. My in-laws are so welcoming and wonderful towards me! Janet gave me this blanket that her grandmother crocheted while she was still alive. That means that my precious baby will be wrapped up in a blanket made by his great, great grandma! I was so shocked by how generous Janet was, especially when I am not the first person in the family to have a baby. There are only a few of these blankets left and I am so grateful that I have one!
Overall, my baby shower was amazing. I literally have the best support system ever. They are all so amazing and I am so grateful that they are excited for us young lovebirds to bring a little guy into this world. It makes all of the crazy unknowns so much less scary knowing that I have wonderful women behind me to support and lift me.
