Happy Halloween!

11:31:00 PM

Halloween is my absolute holiday, and thankfully I got to celebrate it TWICE! I'm seriously candy-corned out. Our ward had their Harvest party on Friday, but I'm still counting it towards Halloween!

Mitch and I dressed up with whatever we could find in the house. We didn't spend a single dime on Halloween costumes this year. I'm seriously considering it a miracle (a Christmas miracle, now that all of the stores are going to start playing Christmas music).

For our ward party, I was a girl scout and Mitch was a BMX racer.

Our ward also had some fun little games like ring tosses and stringed donuts, which were delicious by the way. I am not ashamed to admit that I participated in the event twice just for the donuts.

On Halloween, Mitch and I were invited to a Murder Mystery Dinner! It was an absolute blast. I'm seriously in love with these things all over again! We had a delicious steak dinner and apple cider galore. I am pretty sure that if we had actually been drinking alcohol, we would have been too drunk to speak; Martinelli's cider is that good.

Mitch was Seymour Hunter-Cover, a British war veteran that had a strange and secret past. I was Lotte Branseunbraun, a German floozy and Winery owner. The Murder Mystery was set in the 1930's, so Mitch and I again just used things we owned.

My best "Flapper / Floozy" outfit I could muster.

Mitch even shaved his goatee into a horrid mustache just for the occasion! This picture was taken after the party before we slouched off to bed.

I absolutely loved the solution to the Mystery, but I can't just tell you! You'll have to look for some games at the D.I like our wonderful host did.

Other characters included Desiree, the owner of the Chateau where the murder took place. Henri, the manager of the Chateau winery. Rose, a gorgeous wine collector and widow, and Yves, Desiree's mentally disturbed brother who also happens to be a biochemist.

Thanks for stopping by!
